How are we doing?
I'm still confused: are there art gallery businesses who are doing well, or not? To hear the mainstream media tell it, art dealers are jumping out of sixth story windows. But then, I hear that those who are dealing in works of art in the higher range of price -- like those guys in Hawaii -- are having record years.
So, what's up?
People still buy art when the economy is tough. But they don't want to do it in plain sight of those who are struggling. So, my advice to retailers is get those viewing rooms going and learn how to use 'em....
